As its name suggests, Cleo’s Southern Cuisine is one of the top places to dine on Southern fare. Another popular restaurant for soul food is Pearl’s Place. Both are especially known for their fried chicken and catfish. 

 

Dedicated to its community, Bronzeville Winery is a restaurant famous for its carefully curated wine list and meal options to pair perfectly with it. Another can’t-miss eatery is Honey 1 BBQ. They offer hickory-smoked BBQ dishes with a signature sauce, including options like ribs and pulled pork.

 

Bronzeville has many local shops and boutiques to explore and to fall in love with. Some include the clothing store Bronzeville Boutique, and Stone Art Supply, a place for all of your artistic needs.

 

Things to Do

 

Bronzeville’s upbeat atmosphere means there is always something for its residents to do. To discover all things art, hop on the Bronzeville Art District Trolley Tour. The tour takes you through the whole city, showing you multiple art exhibits and galleries located throughout the neighborhood.

 

Gallery Guichard is another artistic hotspot. This gallery showcases contemporary art from the African diaspora and showcases many exhibits all the time to explore and discover. Visiting Little Black Pearl is another way to take in art, by exploring your creative side. They offer classes for painting, drawing, photography, and everything in between.

 

One of the most popular parks and outdoor recreation destinations in Bronzeville is Ellis Park. People come here to take their kids to the playground, play rounds of tennis, or play sports on the athletic fields.
